Investigation of the Exam Question Types Attitude Scale for Secondary School Students: Development, Validity, and Reliability

Developing students' positive attitudes toward a situation is extremely important. Many attitude scales aim to measure general situation, but there scarcity of tools that can be easily employed determine the type questions students prefer in an exam. This paper reports development and testing instrument like this for secondary school students, 781 participated study. The Exam Question Types Attitude Scale (EQTA-S) consisting 10 items was developed study, its validity reliability were analyzed. Exploratory factor analysis performed construct EQTA-S obtained. result confirmatory showed scale good fit proposed one-factor structure. Additionally, established by acceptable Cronbach alpha values indicated coefficients (Cronbach's alpha) .81, .85, .84, .82, respectively. Therefore, findings study revealed exam question types provides valid reliable results. As result, used towards five different questions.
